Position: Aeronautical Engineer – Qualification and Test

Position Summary

Reporting to theRector of Engineering, within the Qualification and Test Group, the engineer is responsible foractivities related to the qualification and testing of products designed by the engineering department.

Main responsibilities

· Perform the necessary development and qualification tests in support of engineering programs;

· Generate detailed test procedures and reports to document test parameters and results;

· Understand and comply with the statutory regulations in force with regard to the philosophy and methods of testing;

· Perform and document part failure analysis (“CFRR”);

· Produce cost and schedule estimates to plan for the completion of the entire project;

· Generate stress models to perform analyses on the test template.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent

· Bilingualism (French and English)

· Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Suite

· Demonstrated expertise for advanced calculations and analyses

· Demonstrated expertise in solving complex problems

· Demonstrated ability to work as a team in a client-centric environment

Knowledge requirements

• Knowledge of MIL-STD-810G and RTCA/DO-160G is an asset.
• Knowledge of Catia V5 is an asset.
