Your Role
As National Road Logistics Director, you have overall responsibility of road logistics businesses by increasing turnover and profit margin in line with business strategy and targets. You will be leading, directing, managing and controlling the Road Logistics sales activities. You will also be developing corresponding business plans across sales targets.
Your Responsibilities
- Acquiring or supporting the acquisition of new business and account management, promote customer relations and develop existing customer base, monitoring market trends, conditions and competitor activity in order to identify new business opportunities
- Leading and supporting the business development process; for example tender analysis, solution design, costing, pricing and service offering, following drafts forecasts and business plans
- Ensuring efficient operations and continuously optimizing the operations by implementing standard processes in line with corporate guidelines and targets
- To be involved in the development and implementation of business operations and systems as well as to resolve customer problems as needed (within the defined escalation path)
- Supporting other business fields when required by sharing key expertise to improve service levels and profitability
- Ensuring business unit (BU) compliance with KN code of conduct, KN guidelines and with all applicable laws and regulations
- Monitoring annual budget and initiating corrective actions in case of deviations, managing budgets and deadlines – ensuring BU profitability and growth in line with agreed targets
- Setting targets and developing corresponding business plans across all sales channels according to national Sales + Marketing strategy as well as managing road logistics field sales activities
- To evaluate employee’s performance and provides feedback and coaching as needed and recognise employee achievements and encourage excellence in the work environment.
Your Skills and Experiences
- Strong background within Road Logistics freight forwarding (3PL) at least for 10 years, preferably in an international environment
- Minimum 5 years of proven leadership experience
- A proven experience in business development, project management and sales
- Strong coomunication and cooperation, co-ordination and organization skills, ability to influence multiple stakeholders in an international large matrix organisation
- Advance knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Turkish and English
