Are you looking for an opportunity to apply your knowledge and experience in grid code compliance, and wish to further develop your skills while working in an international environment?

We are looking for a skilled Engineer to join our team of experts within Grid Connection to perform grid code compliance simulations for wind turbines and wind farms globally.

How to contribute to our vision

As a part of the Grid Connection team, you will be responsible of developing and improving electrical models of wind turbines, wind farms and power system components. You will prepare technical reports addressing the compliance to the grid codes requested for different projects and countries, as well as take part in grid connection analysis studies via simulations (e.g. RMS, EMT and Harmonic) while using various simulation tools. Ensuring the quality of the deliveries meet expectations (e.g. customer-specific requirements) and deliver as promised.

The candidate will represent the company in meetings with customers, consultants, and international committees. You will support Sales department in contract negotiations regarding electrical systems and assist the Purchasing department in contract negotiations with suppliers of electrical systems for wind turbines. Overall, you will work in close contact with internal and external stakeholders and participate in decision processes to ensure the compliance of the rules for each project.

As a part of a global team, approximately 3 weeks of travel spread over the year should be expected.

What you need to make a difference

Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change.

The candidate we are looking for has 10+ years of experience in the field of electrical power engineering modelling and simulation, combined with experience in the area of grid compliance of wind turbines and wind farms. You should have a relevant educational background preferably in Electronic or Electronical Engineering. Other equivalent degrees are also taken into account.

In this role, you are expected to have an advanced knowledge of at least one of the simulation tools, such as DigSilent PowerFactory (RMS and/or EMT), PSCAD, PSS/E or EMTP-RV. Experience in C/C++, Fortran, Python is considered as an advantage. In addition, you should be an accustomed user of the MS Office tools.

As a person, you possess great communication skills, are a confident speaker and feel comfortable handling interfaces with both internal and external stakeholders. You enjoy working in an international environment both individually and within a team. It is required that you have a high level of English, both written and spoken. Turkish is an advantage but not a necessity to be a successful candidate.
