Designated linguists shall gist and translate files in various formats identified by the Triage team or as provided directly by customers. They shall assign appropriate metadata and information, and prepare finished records, reports and products for uploading into the NMEC and national databases. At least 10% of the screeners will be cleared TS/SCI in the primary language.

Languages needed: Arabic; Farsi; Pashto; Dari; Chinese; Russian; Azeri; Korean; Urdu.
Experience required:
– Bachelor of Arts (BA)/Bachelor of Science (BS) degree or equivalent. In lieu of the Bachelor’s Degree an additional four (4) years of directly related, applied, practical work experience may be substituted.
– Performance at Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) skill level 3 in both audio translation and text translation from the required language(s) into idiomatic, standard American English. Scores from a NSA Civilian Language Test of Record, valid at time of resume submission, may be used as acceptable validation for text translation and audio translation skill level(s). Skill level shall be documented within two (2) years prior to resume submission.
