Job Mission
You will be part of the Recipe Handling group as a Technical Leader. You will technically lead the architecture and designs that are instrumental to have our lithographic machines operating very productive while maintaining nanometer accuracy and making sure that the system settings can be provided reliably, efficiently and consistently in development and customer HVM environments.
You will interact and work closely with other Architects and lead designers to define the optimal solution for ASML. The context of your work is to facilitate all applicable business lines and software releases. Furthermore, ensuring that new functionality can be introduced while safeguarding that existing behavior remains intact is a key competence for this position. Job Description
Represent the group as first technical contact person;
Define/update/explain/defend the roadmaps to internal and external stakeholders;
Take the lead in roadmap topics;
Define and safeguard the architecture (adherence to reference architecture, modularity etc.);
Support new product development (feature assessments and supporting key decisions);
Define and safeguard functional requirements;
Cooperate with the architects;
Coach engineers and lead designers on technical aspects. Education

BSc (with proven track record), MSc or PhD in:
Computer Science;
Information Technology or related field. Experience
8+ years of experience from which at least 3 years as a Software Architect in the high-tech industry;
In-depth knowledge of software architecture(s), dealing with legacy, data governance and management and development practices;
Experience with user interfaces, data transformations;
Experienced in working in SAFe or Agile team environment and applying lean practices; Personal skills

Context of the position
Within ASML, the sector Development & Engineering (D&E) is responsible for the development of ASML products. Within this sector the department Machine Control (MC) is responsible for the design, implementation and maintenance of the high level control and data access software of the complex lithographic machines. ASML creates high tech machines; architects in MC are facing several aspects of production control, data management and interface control. A huge code base is maintained and under strict configuration management to provide maximum commonality between different machine types.

This position requires access to U.S. controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations. Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such U.S. controlled technology prior to beginning work.
