JOB ADVERTISEMENT – Strategic Collaborations and Resource Mobilisation Coordinator

CHILD SAFEGUARDING:
Level 3 – The post holder will have contact with children and/or young people either frequently (e.g. once a week or more) or intensively (e.g. four days in one month or more or overnight) because they work country programs; or are visiting country programs; or because they are responsible for implementing the police checking/vetting process staff.
ROLE PURPOSE:
The Strategic Collaborations and Resource Mobilisation Coordinator will support Save the Children Türkiye to diversify and strengthen its funding base while developing strategic collaborations that contribute to greater and more sustainable impact for children in line with Country Strategic Plan.
The role responds to the Country Office’s evolving resource mobilisation model, with a particular focus on building domestic corporate and institutional funding, strengthening strategic engagement with Save the Children Members, and developing new channels of support that can contribute to the sustainability and growth of the Country Strategic Plan.
A core purpose of the role is to proactively identify, cultivate and manage relationships with Türkiye-based companies, corporate foundations, business networks, chambers of commerce, institutional stakeholders and other prospective supporters. The post holder will translate Save the Children Türkiye’s programme priorities and impact into relevant funding and collaboration propositions, develop and maintain a qualified opportunity pipeline, and coordinate engagement from initial prospecting through to partnership development and follow-up.
The role will also lead structured engagement with priority Save the Children Members, Global Program Funding and New Business Development Teams ensuring regular communication on Türkiye’s programme priorities, funding needs and emerging opportunities. This will include identifying potential institutional and corporate opportunities through Members, supporting early positioning and concept development, and facilitating access to Member technical, fundraising and strategic support.
Where funding opportunities progress to proposal stage, the post holder will coordinate or contribute to the development of concepts and proposals in collaboration with programme, technical, finance, awards and operational teams. Proposal coordination will therefore form part of the role, while the primary focus will remain on relationship development, opportunity generation, market engagement and resource mobilisation.
The role will report to the Director of Programme Development, Quality and Impact (PDQI), and work closely with Country Director, SMT members and relevant programme and support functions and partner organizations recognising that successful resource mobilisation requires active senior-level engagement and cross-functional ownership.
In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will support resource mobilisation and partner engagement for the response and may be required to work outside the normal role profile and adjust working hours accordingly.
SCOPE OF ROLE:

Key working relationships: Acts as day-to-day focal point with the MENAEE Programme Funding Resource Mobilisation team/ Business Partners, ensuring appropriate coordination between SC Member Offices and the Türkiye Country Office (CO). Engages with CO Senior Management Team (SMT), Finance, Awards, Technical Experts/Operations teams, and other necessary stakeholders to coordinate strategic resource mobilization across the CO.
KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
Strategic Collaborations and Domestic Resource Mobilisation – 35%
- Proactively identify, cultivate and develop relationships with Türkiye-based companies, corporate foundations, business networks, chambers of commerce, institutional stakeholders and other prospective supporters.
- Build a diversified domestic resource mobilisation pipeline covering corporate partnerships, domestic institutional funding, high-net-worth individuals and, as organisational readiness develops, public fundraising opportunities.
- Develop collaboration propositions that connect Save the Children Türkiye’s programme priorities and evidence of impact with the social impact, sustainability and business priorities of prospective supporters.
- Explore different models of collaboration, including multi-year programme funding, programme top-ups, sponsorships, pooled funding, employee engagement, in-kind contributions, pro-bono expertise and flexible support to strengthen organisational and technical capacity.
- Undertake sector and market mapping to identify companies and institutions whose operations, supply chains, expertise or social investment priorities are relevant to children’s rights and TCO programme priorities.
- Build and maintain relationships with relevant business and professional networks to increase Save the Children Türkiye’s visibility and access to corporate decision-makers.
- Coordinate senior-level engagement by the Country Director, PDQI Director and other SMT members with priority prospects, ensuring meetings and external events are strategically prepared and systematically followed up.
- Support the development of longer-term strategic collaborations that bring together financial resources, expertise, innovation and networks to increase sustainable impact for children.
- Ensure prospective collaborations are developed in line with Save the Children’s ethical, safeguarding, due diligence and brand requirements.
Member Engagement and Member-Led Opportunities – 20%
- Develop and maintain structured engagement with priority Save the Children Members, ensuring they have a strong understanding of Türkiye’s programme portfolio, strategic priorities, impact and funding needs.
- Coordinate regular programme and funding briefings, targeted updates and bilateral engagement with priority Members.
- Maintain an overview of relevant Member funding calendars, institutional donor opportunities, corporate relationships and strategic priorities, and identify opportunities for early positioning.
- Proactively share programme concepts and funding propositions with Members ahead of relevant institutional and corporate opportunities.
- Work with Members to identify multinational companies operating, producing, sourcing or selling in Türkiye, with particular attention to companies that already have relationships with Save the Children.
- Support coordinated engagement with foreign chambers of commerce, trade networks, commercial sections of embassies and other platforms where Member involvement can strengthen TCO’s access and credibility.
- Identify opportunities to mobilise Member support beyond individual awards, including technical expertise, fundraising support, seed funding, match funding, bridge funding and flexible resources.
- Maintain close coordination with relevant regional and global Resource Mobilisation teams and participate in relevant Communities of Practice and movement-wide initiatives.
Strategic Portfolio and Opportunity Development – 10%
- Support the implementation and periodic review of the Country Office Resource Mobilisation Strategy in alignment with the Country Strategic Plan.
- Maintain an integrated overview of TCO’s funding pipeline, priority programme gaps, co-financing needs and organisational sustainability requirements.
- Develop and regularly update forward-looking opportunity calendars covering institutional donors, Members and domestic funding opportunities.
- Lead or coordinate early-stage opportunity development, including donor and market intelligence, stakeholder mapping, positioning and initial concept development.
- Facilitate Go/No-Go and prioritisation processes for significant opportunities in consultation with the PDQI Director and relevant programme, technical, finance, awards and operational teams.
- Work with technical and programme teams to translate strategic programme priorities into clear and investable propositions that can be presented to different types of funders and collaborators.
- Identify opportunities to scale, replicate or add value to existing TCO programmes through new funding or strategic collaborations.
Proposal Development and Opportunity Conversion – 30%
- Coordinate proposal and concept development where opportunities progress to formal submission or funding negotiation.
- Bring together inputs from technical, programme, MEAL, Finance, Awards, Operations, HR, Government Relations, Safety and Access and other relevant functions.
- Draft or coordinate standard and strategic proposal sections, including organisational capacity, country context, programme experience and partnership approach.
- Support the development of coherent and competitive narratives that clearly articulate the proposed impact for children and alignment with donor or corporate priorities.
- Work with Finance and Awards teams to ensure budgets, cost-recovery considerations and funding arrangements are aligned with programme design and internal requirements.
- Coordinate corporate concept notes, partnership proposals, sponsorship packages and other donor-facing materials required to convert relationships into concrete collaborations.
- Support negotiation and internal coordination during the transition from prospect or proposal stage to confirmed collaboration or award.
Systems, Learning and Reporting – 5%
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of prospects, relationships, opportunities, engagement history and next actions through relevant TCO and Save the Children systems.
- Ensure opportunity trackers, AMS, PRIME and other relevant systems are updated within the role’s area of responsibility.
- Maintain accessible corporate and institutional engagement materials, programme propositions, capability statements, donor intelligence and other resource mobilisation resources.
- Develop regular pipeline and resource mobilisation updates for the PDQI Director and SMT, including progress against agreed priorities and indicators.
- Capture lessons from successful and unsuccessful engagements and use them to improve future positioning, relationship management and resource mobilisation approaches.
- Support the development of practical tools, templates and processes that strengthen cross-functional ownership of strategic collaborations and resource mobilisation.
Humanitarian Response – Based on Needs
- Support resource mobilisation and external engagement during major emergencies, in coordination with the PDQI Director and response leadership.
- Ensure priority Save the Children Members and prospective corporate and institutional supporters receive timely information, funding asks and relevant communication materials to support emergency fundraising.
- Identify opportunities to mobilise financial, in-kind, technical and private-sector support for emergency response.
- Be available for surge support during the early phase of a major emergency, where required.

QUALIFICATIONS
The role requires a strong background in strategic collaborations, resource mobilisation, business development and relationship management, with the ability to build external partnerships, identify opportunities and translate organisational priorities into sustainable funding and impact for children.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
- Demonstrated experience in resource mobilisation, strategic partnership/collaboration development, business development, corporate engagement or a comparable external-facing role, preferably within the nonprofit, development, sustainability or social impact sectors.
- Proven ability to identify, cultivate and maintain productive relationships with a diverse range of external stakeholders, including companies, foundations, institutional funders, business networks, professional associations and senior decision-makers.
- Strong understanding of the Türkiye corporate and institutional landscape, with the ability to identify relevant networks, sectors, funding opportunities and potential areas of collaboration.
- Demonstrated ability to translate programme priorities, social issues and evidence of impact into clear and compelling propositions for different audiences, including corporate and institutional stakeholders.
- Experience in developing and managing an opportunity or relationship pipeline, including prospect identification, stakeholder mapping, prioritisation, engagement planning and systematic follow-up.

- Experience working with multinational companies and/or coordinating relationships between global corporate headquarters and local country operations.
- Familiarity with Türkiye’s institutional donor landscape and relevant international funding mechanisms, including EU and bilateral funding.
- Experience working across an international federation, network or membership-based organisation and coordinating funding or relationship-development activities across different entities.
- Experience with high-net-worth individual engagement, major giving or public fundraising.
- Experience using CRM, opportunity management or donor relationship-management systems.
- Experience developing persuasive concept notes and competitive proposals for institutional or corporate funders.
- Understanding of child rights, social impact, sustainability, ESG or responsible business principles would be an advantage.
