Sales Coordinator

InterContinental Grand Ankara

InterContinental Grand Ankara is looking for an enthusiastic, organized, and highly motivated Sales Coordinator to join our Commercial team. This position is ideal for candidates who are looking to start or further develop their career in hotel sales. Hospitality experience is an advantage but not essential, as training and development will be provided for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and operational support to both the Corporate Sales and Groups Sales teams.
  • Coordinate communication with corporate clients, travel agencies, DMCs, embassies, airlines, business partners, and internal departments.
  • Prepare quotations, contracts, proposals, presentations, and sales reports in a timely manner.
  • Assist in handling corporate and group accommodation inquiries and ensure timely follow-up on client requests.
  • Support the management of rooming lists, group blocks, and contractual documentation.
  • Maintain accurate customer records, sales activities, and databases using hotel sales systems.
  • Coordinate with Reservations, Revenue, Front Office, Events, and other operational departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Support the organization of site inspections, client meetings, sales calls, trade fairs, networking events, and promotional activities.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients while delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Ensure compliance with IHG brand standards, company policies, and departmental procedures.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Director of Sales & Marketing.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, Tourism, or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience in Sales, Reservations or a similar role is an advantage but not mandatory.
  • Recent graduates and candidates eager to build a career in hotel sales are encouraged to apply.
  • Good command of written and spoken English.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of Opera PMS, Delphi, or similar hotel sales systems is an advantage.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Customer-oriented, proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to learn.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
