Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Sales and Technical Support Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will provide exceptional sales and technical support to current and potential customers within your assigned territory. You will act as a key technical expert, ensuring customer satisfaction by addressing challenges and delivering tailored solutions that leverage PPG’s advanced technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver sales and technical support to customers, fostering strong relationships and identifying new business opportunities within the assigned territory.
- Provide expert technical service and support, reporting progress and issues on a weekly basis.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for major PPG technologies, proactively resolving problems at customer sites or manufacturing facilities.
- Adapt and transfer SBU and cross-SBU product technologies into practical applications that meet target market demands.
- Participate actively in the launch of new products and installations, ensuring smooth integration and customer satisfaction.
- Develop and implement strategies aligned with PPG’s global goals to increase market share and explore new markets by highlighting the technical advantages of PPG products and services.
- Achieve annual sales targets and revenue goals through effective planning and execution.
- Contribute to the preparation of proposals and agreements, collaborating with internal teams and key stakeholders.
- Manage communication channels with technical teams and key account leaders to ensure alignment and customer focus.
- Prepare and execute yearly budgets and forecasts, maintaining accuracy and accountability.
- Monitor customer orders and coordinate with Supply Chain to ensure timely delivery and fulfillment of customer needs.
- Identify, document, and share best practices both in the field and within PPG to drive continuous improvement.
- Uphold and promote PPG’s high standards of ethics and corporate codes of conduct.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in sales and technical support within a relevant industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of coatings, materials, or related technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to act decisively in customer-facing situations.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain customer relationships.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with global teams.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
