About the Role
We are seeking a Specification Manager who has the will and ambition to work with the Specification team of Saint-Gobain Turkey in İstanbul.
Responsibilities
- To provide all technical services necessary for the conversion of Saint-Gobain products, systems and solutions into sales.
- In order to prepare detail projects, to ensure that we are actively involved in the project at the design stage of the Architectural project in the Architectural and Consultant offices visited and at the construction sites for the solution of the systems specified or left open in the Architectural project.
- Collecting the necessary information for the preparation of detailed projects, visiting consultants, architects, engineers, project and, if necessary, purchasing managers in the decision-making and decision-affecting positions, and writing brands, systems and solutions into technical specifications.
- To highlight our detailed project design services, system/solution suggestions and information that will create advantages.
- To transfer the identified and/or projected system/solution to the relevant sales team after the design and specification stages, to technically support/direct the relevant persons assigned by the sales team to implement the project when necessary.
- To ensure that the existing specifications are replaced with Saint-Gobain products by reverse engineering.
- To organise and, when necessary, provide training/presentation support to be given by the company on building physics and system solutions by contacting decision makers or decision makers in Architectural and Consultancy offices or qualified construction sites requiring system solutions.
- Liaising with the relevant functions in Saint-Gobain companies to obtain assistance and plan events together in order to conduct demos on request at construction sites.
- Working together with the product managers and sales teams to establish the concept of “Solution Selling” in large projects and to increase the sales of specified systems.
- To analyse and understand the needs and expectations of potential customers very well, to be solution-oriented and to produce the most effective solutions for customers.
- To closely follow the developments in the market, products, systems, solution forms, competitors, to make analyses, to report the information collected to the manager.
- To record all visits and projects with their details in the company’s CRM System on time and regularly.
- To apply the legal and workplace rules on occupational health and safety.
Qualifications
- B.Sc. degree in Architecture or Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of work experience is required.

- Have strong communication & negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of presentation techniques.
- Being strongly analytic and result-oriented.
- Social and relationship oriented.
- Knowledge and experience in market research and analysis.
- Technical knowledge of construction materials.
- Project management knowledge and experience.
- Good command of verbal and written communication skills in English.
- A strong networker with a high degree of integrity and personal presence who can run large and complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Demonstrates initiative in decision making and problem resolution with effective planning and organizational skills.
- No restrictions to travel (domestic).
