Job Description:
We are now looking for a Plant Manager to lead operations at our Gemlik Plant. This role carries full accountability for plant performance, legal compliance, and employee leadership. The Plant Manager will set the vision, ensure safe and reliable operations, and drive continuous improvement across HSSE, Quality, Customer Service, Cost, and People Development.

Key Accountabilities:
- Lead all plant operations with accountability for HSSE, quality, integrity management, production scheduling, raw materials inventory, and improvement.
- Serve as the legal representative for the plant, ensuring compliance with safety, environment, customs, works council (where applicable), and bp OMS requirements.
- Inspire and develop diverse teams through strong leadership, employee engagement, and talent management.
- Execute the supply plan, ensuring safe, timely, and cost-competitive product availability.
- Drive a continuous improvement culture, using Lean, TPM, or Six Sigma to enhance reliability, flexibility, and efficiency.
- Lead HSSE initiatives, embedding global standards and championing a strong safety culture.
- Identify and deliver investment and efficiency opportunities, including long-term Capex planning.
- Represent the plant in regional/global networks, sharing and implementing best practices.
- Act as risk owner for facility operations, SPA for Control of Work, and member of the Incident Management Team.
- Maintain compliance with ISO, IATF, and other accreditations to ensure the site remains certified.
Education & Experience:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in operations or plant management leadership.
- Proven leadership experience managing diverse teams in a production environment.
- Strong safety and quality awareness, with experience in HSSE and quality compliance systems.
- Demonstrated track record of improving operational performance through people, process, and technology.
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering (other technical disciplines considered with relevant experience).
- Fluency in English and Turkish.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Strong leadership and people management skills with proven ability to inspire and engage teams.
- Deep understanding of HSSE and Quality management systems.
- Knowledge and application of Continuous Improvement methodologies (Lean, TPM, Six Sigma, WCOM).
- Ability to balance strategic leadership with day-to-day operational management.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Effective stakeholder management and communication, capable of influencing across multiple levels.
- High resilience, flexibility, and ability to adapt to unforeseen challenges (e.g., supply chain disruptions, demand fluctuations).
- Customer-centric mindset with focus on reliability, flexibility, and service.
