About the role
To drive business growth and technical excellence in the Bakery and Emulsifiers category across Turkey and the Middle East, leveraging Kerry’s assets and capabilities across the APMEA region. The role will focus on building volume, filling factories, and delivering strategic customer value through innovation, technical support, and market development.
Key responsibilities
- Establish Kerry as a leader in Bakery and Emulsifiers across Turkey and the Middle East.
- Drive business development initiatives to grow volume and profitability in Bakery and Emulsifiers.
- Support commercial teams in positioning Kerry’s foundational technologies (emulsifiers, enzymes, preservation, taste) in a compelling and customer-relevant way.
- Lead technical support for customer projects, including plant trials, troubleshooting, and innovation workshops.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, R&D, Marketing, Finance, Regulatory) to execute projects and deliver customer solutions.
- Translate global portfolio into regionally relevant offerings aligned with market needs.
- Conduct market mapping and identify growth opportunities in Bakery and Emulsifiers.
- Deliver internal and external training programs to build category expertise.
- Represent Kerry at industry events, webinars, and customer engagements.
- Develop compelling presentations and value propositions tailored to customer challenges.
- Monitor competitive landscape and adapt strategies to maintain differentiation.
- Align with R&D and Marketing to drive innovation and renovation in the Bakery and Emulsifiers space.
Qualifications and skills
- Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or equivalent with specialization in Bakery or Emulsifiers.
- Minimum 5 years of senior-level business development experience in Bakery and/or Emulsifiers.
- Strong technical knowledge of bakery processes and ingredients (biscuits, cookies, bread, cakes, pastries, etc.).
- In-depth understanding of emulsifier functionality and application in bakery systems.
- Proven experience in factory trials and commercial bakery settings.
- Ability to influence and collaborate across matrixed teams.
- Strong customer orientation and project management skills.
- Willingness to travel across the Middle East region.
- Analytical mindset with data-driven decision-making capability.
- Passion for innovation and sustainability in the Bakery category.
