The Senior Manager of Trade & Finance makes an impact by –

• Key business partner to the Trade team providing financial oversight of the Trade forecasting process, ensuring data accuracy and timely submission to meet financial deadlines.
• Validate new trade plan proposals for accuracy and profitability.
• Financial review of trade month end accounting for completeness, accuracy and evaluation of prior period activity.
• Understand, review and approve trade overspend requests and unauthorized charges researched and requested by the Trade Analysts.
• Review, analyze, and report customer trade promotion actualization including comparison of the spend rates to budget. Follow up with Sales and the Trade team on any noted items.
• Analyze the effectiveness of our promotions and make recommendations for year-over-year savings through trade optimization.
• Partner with the Trade team to ensure trade promotions are closed appropriately within the TPM system and forecast any open activity especially at Year End.
• Provide ad hoc analytical expertise for decision support specific to trade promotional activities.
• Follow established programs, policies and practices to produce safe quality foods that meet regulatory and company requirements
• Performs all duties within the established Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) regulations.
• Follow established programs, policies and practices to produce safe quality foods that meet regulatory and company requirements.
• Support the development, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of Safe Quality Foods (SQF) Food Safety and Quality.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or a related field. MBA preferred
• Minimum of (5) years of related sales and trade finance or financial management experience
• Experience managing a portfolio of $100M or greater
• Excellent analytical skills
• Proven track record of cross-functional collaboration
• Ability to plan, organize and carry-out multiple tasks and projects
• Able to thrive in a fast paced environment while meeting deadlines and competing priorities
• Strong computer skills utilizing Microsoft Office suite with advanced Excel knowledge
• Experience in Consumer Product Goods preferred
• Experience with Trade Promotions Management systems preferred

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.

• The employee is required to talk and/or hear in an office setting (noise level is low) and manufacturing setting where noise levels can be high (PPE required).
• The employee is frequently required to stand and walk in an office or manufacturing environment from 4-8+ hours.
• The employee must be able to ascend and descend stairs, and where applicable and when necessary, to perform various job-related tasks.
• Must be able to position self to move, reach with arms/hands, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed to perform various job-related tasks.
• The employee must be able to inspect all job-related equipment (office or floor) to ensure it is in good working condition prior to use. Must be able to use hands/fingers to handle (or feel) to operate various types of office equipment.
• Must be able to operate all job-related equipment (powered, hand or office) as required.
• Vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception and adjust focus.
• Ability to lift 20 pounds and/or push/pull 20 pounds on a regular or occasional basis.
