The principal responsibility of TSCO is to ensure that all trades entered into by the business are properly initiated and accurately recorded in our core banking application. Trades are validated, settled, reconciled, and reported.
Operational Risk is monitored. Controls are implemented, improved and followed in accordance with group and market practice.
Managing Client (Internal and External) and Regulator relationships.
Key focus areas for Head of TSCO are,
- Process Efficiency – Review existing process and procedures to ensure process efficiency while ensuring they are at market and group standards.
- Relationship Management – Establish and maintain a good relationship with all stakeholders as well as External clients, Regulators and Service providers.
- Operational Risk – To continually assess the operational risks inherent in the business unit, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, management restructurings and the impact of new technology.
- Best Practice – By maintaining periodic liaison with counterparts in other parts of the Group and exchanging ideas regarding similar processes.
- Internal Control – To maintain Deutsche Bank internal control standards, including the timely implementation and adherence of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.
- Staffing – Overall supervision of team.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Process treasury products (FX, MM, Swap, IRS, FX Future etc.).
- Assume responsibility for the settlement of all Turkey government bonds (both Stock Exchange and OTC).
- Manage the processes relevant to Istanbul Settlement and Custody Bank (Takasbank).
- Management of collateral, margin calls.
- Follow up the auctions organized by Central Bank of Turkey (CBT).
- Regulatory reporting (daily check, attestation etc.).
- Follow up and comply with local regulations.
- Reconcile & escalate all accounts, depots and InterSystems.
- Follow up TPR (volume), KRI, BSS, ad-hoc reports.
- Prepare &update KOD, manuals &workflows for system interfaces.
- Attending projects for operational enhancement and new products
- Performance management, identifying training needs.
- Monitoring monthly cost report and being involved in budgeting activities.
- Participate in regional KRI forums.
- Ensure local branch is aligned to global Deutsche Bank best practices.
- Participate in regional/global training.
- Project management for new products/processes.
- Keep up to date with local regulation changes and the impact on local operations.
- Manage and develop direct reports. Including building succession plans for all roles.
Your Skills and Experience:
- University degree is minimum requirement.
- Minimum 7-8 years’ experience in banking
- Certificate requirement for minimum SPK Level 3 Certificate
- Fluent in MS Office programs
- Analytical thinking.
- Fluent in written and spoken English and Turkish
- Having risk perception
