Associate Procurement

The Opportunity:

Avantor is looking for an associate to support the Global Procurement with general and tactical activities of daily purchasing management.

This position involves monitoring of purchase orders in VWR SAP system, ensuring diligent follow up on open items and drive them for a closure within agreed service levels. Communicate with suppliers and internal departments of VWR primarily via emails and phone calls on theorder status and clarify any questions.

What we’re looking for 

Education: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.

Experience: 0 to 1 years’ Experience in Procurement, customer services, or any related field.

Knowledge about inventory planning models and import & Bonded biz processes.

How you will thrive and create an impact

• The primary objective being a complete, accurate, and timely set of confirmations in the
• system for our customers and customer service
• Ensuring that all purchase order confirmations are processed as per the service level
• agreement
• This covers quantity, delivery date and pricing
• Actively follow up missing confirmation and expediting overdue delivery dates
• Cancelling open Purchase Orders where we have no current demand or forecast.
• This includes contacting the supplier to cancel open order lines where the customer has
• cancelled their order and we no longer need to have these products come into our
• warehouses, in addition to updating the Purchase Orders in system.
• Additional research and data entry type processes will be added to the above as we
• move forward.
• Must input individual confirmation data from fax, e-mail, paper mail, ASE fall-out with
• the set target time.
• The confirmation over all external deliveries into the European network of warehouses
• and associated direct deliveries
