Job Description
The Vendor Manager, for our Digital & Technology business, will build and manage relationships with our internal clients and the vendors who support our exciting and varied requirements across multiple business units. You will need to show expert knowledge of vendor management and procurement principles, strong negotiating skills and an eye for detail. You will be part of the team supporting multiple internal stakeholders within a dynamic environment.
As our Vendor Manager you will:
- Optimize and build strong and lasting relationships to maximize the value that strategic technology vendors bring to MasterBrand
- Assess and mange vendor risk, governance, compliance and vendor performance via the contractual terms and conditions and SLAs / KPIs
- Determine specifications and requirements for products and services through communication with internal stakeholders and the department’s strategic plan
- Collaborate with senior MasterBrand leaders and stakeholders to identify and evaluate technology strategies and roadmaps to facilitate a robust strategic vendor management and sourcing pipeline
- Execute the implementation of both business unit level and enterprise-wide sourcing initiatives for hardware, software, IT infrastructure, networking and telecommunication equipment and services, contingent labor, and field service support
- Lead and participate in corporate sourcing opportunities, including RFPs, and direct negotiations
- Ensure adherence to all corporate policies and procedures
- Continuously review with the Vendor Management Team strategic and tactical plans to better serve the company as a whole
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in a vendor management / strategic sourcing role with extensive IT category experience
- CPSM or equivalent certification
- Expert knowledge of the end-to-end RFx process
- Demonstrated ability to effectively interact in a cross-functional environment with all levels of management
- Knowledge of Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and Value-Added Reseller (VAR) channel marketplaces
- Proven experience in the commercial environment with demonstrated success in managing complex commercial and contractual negotiations, completing competitive market analysis, and monitoring ongoing supplier performance management / scorecards
- Strong vendor governance, risk and compliance experience
- Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail
