We are looking for Mechanical Design Engineer who will be able to demonstrate knowledge in ABB in Robotics & Discrete Automation in İstanbul,Tuzla location.
This is Mechanical Design Engineer position reporting to the Engineering Manager, the key areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to:Y

our responsibilities

M

• echanical design of fixtures, tools, grippers, conveyor systems using necessary tools and programs,

L

• eads, guides and plans design teams from internal and external sources on project basis,

L

• eads the design phase compatible to the time plan,

S

• imulation of designed tools and equipment,

M

• aking the reachability studies of tools and robots in ABB 3D RobotStudio software,

P

• reparing documentations for design output,

H

• aving and pro-active role in supply chain for the mechanical parts ABB procures from suppliers starting from selection until quality control processes,

F

• ollowing manufacturing, assembly and start-up phases of designed equipments to ensure quality and functionality,

P

• reparing documentations for ABB and customer specific standards,

S

• upporting R&D projects and developing new robotic cells and tools,

R

• epresent ABB during site visits, communicating at all levels to ensure customer satisfaction,

• ssist salespeople during customer visits when necessary,

A

• ssist bid and proposal team on sales related documents, including cost estimates and project scope of supply, for new projects,

• orks closely with other engineering areas to define optimum design specifications,

• erforms typical calculations, analysis, and conducts design reviews with Principal Engineers,

P

• erforms meetings with the customer about design reviews and approvals.

Y

our background

U

• niversity degree in Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering,

M

• inimum 3 years of related experience,

H

• ave design experience with 3D design programs such as Solidworks / Catia V5/ NX & AutoCAD,

D

• esign experience in Robotic area (fixtures, tools, grippers etc) is a definite plus,

E

• xperience in Packaging or Automotive industry is a plus,

B

• asic knowledge of pneumatic systems and pneumatic components is a plus,

K

• nowledge in manufacturing processes (milling, turning, welding etc.) is a plus,

• xcellent command of written and spoken of English,

• urkish knowledge is a must,

• nnovative, initiative and team player with strong planning, organizational and interpersonal skills,

• trong commitment to safe work practices and dedication to following all relevant workplace safety guidelines,

• bility to work and accomplish goals with minimal direction,

• ustomer service mentality with the availability for overnight domestic and overseas travel on short notice.
