- Fluent in English + at least 1 additional language (German, French, Italian, Spanish, Arabic, Hebrew, Russian, or Turkish)

Here’s your chance to work as a Localization Program Manager (PM) in our Training & Certification team. This is a highly visible position with significant customer impact.
In this role, you will work closely with with content owners and curriculum developers across the Training and Certification team, regional stakeholders, and marketing to ensure that training and certification content is developed and delivered in an in-region appropriate language and style. The localization PM will also work closely with technical teams to provide localized support for help systems including but not limited to: the Learning Management System (LMS), the Content Management System (CMS), automation tools, the lab environment, and WIKIs.
The Training and Certification team develops training and certification material for the largest learner base Amazon distributes to, including all corporate staff, subsidiary companies, vendors, and contractors globally. This role will help establish internal team processes to integrate localization into every step of the development life cycle, and ensure that the end product meets Amazon’s style and quality bars.
You will have excellent communication skills and proven program management experience, ideally in the IT Training sector. To be successful in this position, you must be a self-starter who is prepared to Think Big and Invent and Simplify.
Responsibilities:
- Manage localization workflow and processes primarily focused on EMEA (German, French, Italian, Spanish, Arabic, Hebrew, Russian, or Turkish) languages.
- Partner with localization stakeholders and regions to evolve the workflow and processes to be efficient and scalable
- Lead and manage end-to-end localization projects, working closely with product management, development, localization resource teams, cross-functional partners and external vendors
- Evangelize best practices to developers and key stakeholders
- Develop project plans, managing time, budget, resources and quality control
- Provide project specific education and coaching to localization testers and training content developers
- Analyze localization project risk, and define mitigation actions of identified risks
- Help build a media content catalog that is diverse
- Generate quarterly reports on localization usage, needs, and recommendations
- Develop feedback loops for localization improvement
- Manage multiple projects and priorities
This role can be performed near any US AWS office in the following cities: Arlington, Atlanta, Austin, Ballston, Boston, Chicago, Cupertino, Dallas, Denver, Detroit, East Palo Alto, Herndon, Houston, Irvine, Minneapolis, New York City, Pittsburgh, Portland, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle, Washington D.C., Tempe, Sunnyvale, or Santa Monica.
The pay range for this position in Colorado is $98,700 – $160,000/yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
