Air Cargo Reservation and Customer Support 1+ YR Airfreight/Cargo EXP REQ

You will answer incoming emails and phone calls from freight forwarding companies who want to book shipments, respond to inquiries, manage complaints, troubleshoot significant customer service problems, and provide general information. You will be a member of the primary contact team for freight forwarders interested in the flights we offer and will be responsible for assisting them in completing bookings online and over the phone. You will also inform customers of all service products and features and project a professional company image through voice and online interactions.

Air Cargo Reservation and Customer Support Job Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Answer incoming calls and respond to customer’s emails
  • Process bookings & reservations by entering shipment details in Airline’s booking system
  • Document all booking information using applicable software
  • Complete call logs and reports
  • Enter and audit rates per shipment in reservation system
  • Complete tasks accurately and timely
  • Management and resolve customer complaints
  • Identify and escalate issues to supervisors
  • Research, identify, and resolve customer complaints using applicable software
  • Provide product and service rate and other information to customers
  • Research required information using available resources
  • Recognize, document, and alert the management team of trends in customer calls
  • Follow up customer calls where necessary
  • Ability to consistently enhance your knowledge through regular online and face-to-face training
  • Other duties as assigned

Air Cargo Reservation and Customer Support Qualifications and Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proficient in relevant computer applications
  • 1-3 years of experience in Airfreight customer service
  • Knowledge of customer service practices and principles
  • Excellent data entry and typing skills
  • Superior listening, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to handle stressful situation appropriately
  • Ability to work different on weekends
  • Experience in the air cargo industry required
  • Additional language skills (such as Turkish) highly preferred
  • Airfreight, Airline/GSA, Freight Forwarding experience is required and must have
