Trendyol is aiming to develop a world-class e-commerce platform, combined with a class leading fulfilment network and we are undertaking a multi-year effort to achieve this goal. We are looking for an experienced professional with a strong record of achieving results and with long-term thinking on setting up a Pan EU last mile network to deliver great delivery experience.
You get to work in a high impact role, paving the way International expansion for Trendyol will shape up in future. As a Head of Last Mile, you will be responsible for driving several projects that are part of this multi-year vision. If you are inspired by establishing the status quo in a startup environment and working with internal and external partners to build an entirely new fulfilment network from the ground up, this position is for you.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading all downstream delivery related operations across the EU. Working with logistics partners that you identify through a robust mechanism, you will deliver the most optimal turnaround time, optimal last mile logistics costs and efficient MIS reporting. You possess strong project management skills, are process oriented, a high degree of ownership and integrity, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and are a great team player. In this role, you will partner closely with a set of cross company stakeholders including technology & engineering to define and deliver a network that will delight customers.
YOUR PROFILE
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business Management, Mathematics or other quantitative discipline
10+ years of experience in logistics / transportation / supply chain / package delivery / last mile operations
5+ years of experience performing cost / benefit analysis, analyzing risk / reward trade-offs.
5+ years of experience driving decisions through data and analytics, utilizing tools such as Tableau and Excel
Excellent collaboration skills that enable you to earn trust at all levels.
Extreme attention to detail and willingness to roll up your sleeves.
Ability to effectively work with remote teams across continents and deliver results.
Working in a start-up or early stage environment where you will be defining best practice for your function.
YOUR CHALLENGE
Identify best in class partners to set up the last mile network, setting up a robust mechanism to evaluate their capabilities and finalising partners we want to work with. Define OTR (over the road) operational requirements, including service provider policies and trainings, requirements and restrictions, internal and external technology and tools.
Own the cost structure for Last Mile Delivery Operations while ensuring Best in Class Delivery Experience. Set up and communicate performance goals to achieve customer promise expectations and ensure accuracy and quality.
Proactively identify and lead process improvement initiatives and Lean tools. Create and disseminate new processes and policies as well as updates.
Ensure procedures are followed for safety and product loss prevention.
Develop internal processes to track transactions full-cycle; track, measure and improve vehicle delivery experience of the delivery service partners. Track on-time deployments, see risks before they happen and ensure solutions are in place.
Benchmark best in class delivery experience and develop a working backwards plan to achieve the same in phases. Innovate to create new benchmarks in delivery experience.
Proactively communicate your teams’ plans and accomplishments in both verbal and written narratives to ensure alignment with senior leadership and technical partners.
