Qualifications and Skills
- Post-graduate degree in technical fields such as construction, mechanical engineering and / or electrical engineering. A Masters degree or higher will be considered as a plus.
- The Technical Expert needs to demonstrate local (Turkey) working experience. Experience in similar projects in the region (regional countries = Western Balkans, MENA-Region) and other countries will be considered a plus.
- Profound expertise in mechanical and / or construction engineering and / or electrical engineering with not less than 10 years’ professional experience in similar internationally funded construction / engineering projects and familiar with requirements of workshop construction, its surroundings and equipment.
General Professional Experience
- Proven ability to manage the detailed planning, tendering as well as implementation and work supervision of projects of this nature. Proven track record in the field of mechanical and / or construction engineering and/ or electrical engineering, particularly in Turkey.
- Experience in preparation of infrastructure of workshops (electric, floor, heating etc.) and installation of procured goods, quality control.
- Knowledge in environmental and social laws and regulations.
Specific Professional Experience
- Experience in working with the educational sector and preparation of infrastructure related to educational institutions will be an asset.
- Good writing and presentation skills, and ability to communicate effectively to diverse audiences. Fluency in both written and spoken English is obligatory.
- The technical expert is expected to support the planning and implementation throughout the implementation period. The staff technical and financial proposal shall reflect the large number of individual projects and different geographic location.
