Duties and Responsibilities
To ensure that all colleagues have a complete understanding and adhere to the Mandarin Oriental Bosphorus Istanbul’s Colleagues Rules & Regulations.
To ensure that all in-house rules and regulations are communicated to colleagues and implemented.
To prepare and publish the monthly training calendar and ensure it reaches all colleagues of the hotel.
To carry out colleague hotel tours and external cultural visits as part of MOve In.
To proactively collect training nominations for all training programmes in accordance to related audience.
To send joining instructions for L&D programmes in a timely manner.
To maintain colleague training records using the hotel training matrix and filing attendance sheets monthly.
To maintain training supplies and administer purchase orders according to the needs of the department.
To administer and manage L&D equipment and resources.
To be familiar with the colleague benefits and respond to questions if these arise.
To ensure colleague performance reviews are carried out in a timely manner following PROFILE deadlines.
Design posters, presentations for colleague L&D and Human Resources events.
To facilitate training programmes as requested by the Director of Learning & Development in line with GTT standards (MOHG Group Training Techniques).
To be fully versed with Safe & Sound training requirements and assist in organising training to address training needs.
To support with the implementation of sustainability initiatives in the hotel.
To coordinate external training activities according to yearly hotel L&D plan.
To administer the hotel’s online training platform and follow up on training completion.
To administer the hotel L&D notice board and ensure it is up to date at all times.
To coordinate Colleague Branding activities not limited to: Ability Tests for Guest Facing Colleagues, Colleague of the Month, National Days, Familiarisation Experience, Colleague Voice Meeting etc.
To organise L&D special events (i.e. MOve Up and MOve Forward, Management Trainee graduations, Quarterly Colleague Briefing etc.)
To follow up on departmental trainings, carry out observations and take necessary actions.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree
Strong written and verbal communication skills in the English language
Excellent overall communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and power Point
Able to multi-task
Enthusiastic about training, managing and motivating a team
