Responsibilities
- Credit Management
- Processing of credit risk facilities extended to the customers; updating customer credit limits
- Preparation and submission of daily on-hold reports, obtaining required approvals to release them,
- Providing necessary information on financial/customer issues to the Senior Management and supporting the business operations
- Maintaining a continuous relationship with the customer, follow up financials, letter of guarantee, etc. & management of credit insurance.
- Ensure that Days Sales Outstanding (DSOs) & Corporate guidelines are maintained within globally set targets
- Carry out risk analyses & reporting about customers and receivables for Finance Manager
- Monitor and follow-up all collections, slow paying/outstanding accounts and initiate actions to recover debts
- Responsible for the control, tracking and reconciliation of customer accounts
- Trade Budget Management
- Monitoring, tracking and analysis of budget expenditure
- Providing variance analysis between actuals vs forecast, obtaining valid explanations for variances
- Proactively monitor and strive to maintain high levels of data quality and accuracy
- Active involvement in monthly closing; ensuring correct Trade spend provisions
Qualifications
- University degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering or related fields
- At least 2 years’ experience in financial & business control, Reporting, & Planning functions (preferably Credit Control)and basic accounting knowledge is essential
- FMCG experience desirable
- Excellent command of written and spoken English
- MS Office (advanced Excel) knowledge; SAP knowledge is required
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adhere to a specific process and facilitate requests to meet specific deadlines through effective time management
- Ability to bring creativity to the position, while striving for continuous improvement
- The ability to respect deadlines and have the ability to multitask
- High level of professional maturity and sensitivity to compliance and ethical values
