ROLE PURPOSE
Reporting to the Technical Manager / team lead, this role is for a Billing Software Engineer with a proven skillset, experience and working knowledge with Billing solutions including appliance, software or cloud based product portfolio.
This role is responsible for the technical development of the Billing solutions.
The selected candidate needs to be prepared that the job will requires him/ her to design long-term win strategy, with a sound process-based solution architecture that meets the business requirements.
Job Responsibility
Your place in the team
- As a member of the squad, solution designer is responsible for all the activities that lead the team to achieve their sprint goals & team KPIs.
- Delivers detailed functional and technical analysis against backlog items in line with solution designers in other squads; handshakes on the specifications of the integrations points.
- Prepare design documents for the delivery
- Together with Ops and Infrastructure teams, studies dimensioning for the systems in the domain based on the traffic forecast provided by the business unit
- Works with product owner and solution developer define backlog items (epics, features, user stories, tasks) for the necessary cases
- Estimates size of backlog items
- Translates backlog items into engineering design and logical units of work (tasks) with the solution developers.
- Supports testers for test case preparation; reviews test cases.
- Provides design support for defects and issues raised by relevant stakeholders regarding the domain under the teams responsibility.
- Prepare and present solution for IT Architecture Board
- Executes RFP/RFP & SOW process if required.
- Works with solution architect to maintain product roadmaps and target architecture
- Reviews and approves vendor design documents; follow ups vendor development.
We are looking for you if you have
- Graduated from Computer Science or similar discipline
- Good command of verbal & written English
- Know-how and experience of Telecommunication concepts and services
- Significant experience with algorithms, relational databases, object oriented technologies
- Good understanding of software development process
- Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
- Significant experience with some of the following technologies
- PL-SQL (Tuning, monitoring, debugging)
- Java (Concurrency, JDBC, transactions)
- Web services, Microservices
- Application & Database modelling tools
- Unit testing, stress testing
- Unix, scripting
