AESA supports projects in the areas of economic and social reform, wealth generation, poverty reduction, universal primary education, gender equality, productivity and competitiveness, agriculture and forestry sectors, improvement of quality of life in rural areas, diversification of rural economies, creating an enabling environment for rural communities, biodiversity conservation, and in environmental sustainability and management.
Since 2017, AESA has been present in Turkey through the implementation of several EU-funded projects in the fields of climate change, low carbon development and air quality in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment and Urbanisation. It is now participating in several tenders from its office based in Ankara, including projects related to renewable energy and energy efficiency.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
− Provide contents, redact and revise tender’s technical offers;
− Manage ongoing projects and ensure the implementation of all project activities;
− Process and follow-up on experts’ invoices and reviews experts’ timesheets when applicable;
− Read, revise and perform the quality check on Experts report and ensure AESA’s quality standards are respected;
− Manage the logistics of meetings, conferences, trainings, and other project-related events;
− Follow up on progress of the different project activities;
− Identify and recruit experts and prepare contracts accordingly;
− Attend project meetings and prepare minutes;
− Liaise with the client, project experts and project partners on day-to-day implementation of project activities;
− Perform other duties as determined according with the Head of Climate Change, Renewable Energy and Environment Department.
Academic background: University degree;
Master Degree in Natural Resources Management, International Development, Renewable Energy or related subjects will be a considerable advantage;
Min. 3 years of continuous experience in a similar function with proven track record of project management;
Good knowledge of the European Commission external aid market and procurement procedures;
Ideally knowledge and experience with an additional donor (i.e. EIB, DFID, KFW, GIZ, World Bank or EBRD);
A technical understanding of at least one of the following sectors: energy, climate change, environment and/or water;
Proven experience in revising, redacting and providing useful content for the writing of technical offers and methodologies;
Commercial judgment and financial management expertise (preparation of budget, preparation and revision of M&E and Progress Reports);
IT-skills: advanced use of MS Office, particularly Excel;
Rigorous, accuracy and attention to detail;
Creative, communicative, open-minded and results-oriented;
Languages: solid written and spoken English (Minimum C1, CEFRL – 7.5 IELTS) French knowledge will be considered a strong asset;
Work ethics, dynamism, flexibility and ability to cope with multiple tasks and tight deadlines.
