SUNUM is looking for an electrochemistry specialist who will work as a part of a team for the energy storage and conversion systems.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Use of potentiostats for electrochemical measurements (CV, LSV, charge-discharge tests for batteries and supercapacitors, impedance analysis etc.)
  • Fuel cell and battery testing
  • Sample preparation for fuel cell, battery, and supercapacitor tests
  • Provide services for electrochemical and energy systems testing
  • Evaluate and report results for short term and long term projects
  • Communicate with partners from academia and industry

Sabancı University Nanotechnology Research and Application Center (SUNUM) is a 7,500 m2, state-of-the-art facility. The design of the facility provides an efficient, highly functional integration of education and research applications, in accordance with the university’s strategic vision of creating social and economic added-value out of knowledge and disseminating knowledge within society.

In line with the emphasis on applied research with greater community impact, faculty members of Sabanci University Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences (FENS) joined forces in 2009 to form a new research center on multidisciplinary nanotechnologies.

SUNUM is developed with 35 Million USD provided by State Planning Organization and Sabancı Foundation and became operational in January 2012. The Center provides valuable additional capabilities to the existing research infrastructure of FENS.

The Center is engaged in highly effective multidisciplinary research programs, bringing together researchers with expertise spanning advanced materials, nano-bio technology, nano-electronics, micro-nano fluidics, micro-nano-electromechanical systems and nano-engineering.

SUNUM follows the unique example of Sabancı University for multi-disciplinary application-oriented research with its “creating and developing together” strategy and “no departments, no walls” approach, complementing the research expertise of different internal units and external stakeholders.
