Position Title: Loader/Unloader – Transportation Crew Worker

Position Summary:

Work as a team member of the transportation crew in the moving of poults from the brooder hubs to the finishers and their other daily activities including washing trailers, loaders and vaccinating.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Participate in brooder hub poult moving per schedules.
  • Load poults on trailers using poult loader.
  • Unload poults from trailer in finisher barns.
  • Perform preventative maintenance of poult loaders and trailers.
  • Follow best practices in the transporting of turkeys.
  • Always follow the Farms Biosecurity Program.
  • Participate in the timely moving of poults from the brooder hubs to the finisher sites.
  • Move birds.
  • Wash trailers per schedules.
  • Adhere and enforce all Tyson safety policies.
  • Perform other duties as necessary and as assigned by department lead and/or supervisor.

Requirements (minimum requirements to be considered for the job)

  • Must be able to understand and convey written and oral communication.
  • Must not own, possess, or otherwise maintain any domestic, wild, or exotic fowl.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
  • Must have effective use of all four limbs or equivalent.
  • Corrected near 20/20 vision.
  • Must be able to communicate with coworkers, supervisor, and management.

Requirements:

3months work history with the same employer.
